Where Film and Storytelling Meet
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Perini & Associates (P&A) recently added a new team member to their portfolio, meet Clint Wright of Turning Tree Productions. The services provided by Turning Tree Productions, including the creation of high-quality videos for businesses and individuals; creative concept, cinematic videography and industry standard video editing, will mesh nicely with P&A’s full-service public relations firm and marketing agency.
Wright’s love of film and storytelling began in third grade, when he won a storytelling competition. “Then, in my sophomore English class, we could reenact the book we had just read on video,” shared Wright. The book was “A Sound of Thunder” by Ray Bradbury. “None of us knew how to edit, but filming sounded fun, so we shot every scene in one take with my mom’s camcorder. It was pure cinematic gold… (sarcasm),” he continued. “I think we earned a very generous B, but the seed was planted. That project showed me filmmaking could be a career—an uncommon idea among adults in my small, rural western New York town.”
In college Wright studied communications with a minor in film, where he found that he was much better behind a camera than in front of one. “I loved film theory, and I cut my teeth with a few video projects and one commercial gig for an internship; but what came next really honed my skills and helped me become a true professional in the field,” said Wright.
After college, Wright spent nearly five years in media operations at a Colorado Springs video studio, learning to deliver projects smoothly, on time and within budget. “I gained experience with computers, cameras, media storage, client projects and production technology,” he said.
“The experience was valuable, but I wanted more control over my projects and life, so I started my own production company.”
Turning Tree Productions is built on transparency, communication and collaboration. They want clients to feel comfortable sharing their goals, ideas and vision—even when they are unsure how to turn them into a finished video. Turning Tree Productions provides the information clients need to make confident decisions without overwhelming them. “Our job is to take what a client brings to the table, ask the right questions, and work together to turn their vision into something that effectively communicates what they want their audience to see, feel or understand. Ultimately, we want clients to feel like they’re working with a creative partner—not simply hiring a production company,” said Wright.
Turning Tree Productions has produced nearly every kind of video, from corporate and commercial work to music videos, weddings, live events, skits and documentaries.
“We primarily serve businesses, but any organization with a compelling story, clear message and suitable budget can be a good fit,” said Wright. “Mini-documentaries can be an effective tool for businesses. They help audiences connect with an organization’s people, purpose and story in ways traditional advertising often cannot, while generating shorter social media content that extends reach.”
When asked what he believes separates a professionally produced video from the enormous amount of video content people encounter every day on social media, Wright replied, “I don’t think appearing on social media automatically makes a video unprofessional. In fact, social media can be one of the most effective platforms for showcasing professionally produced videos. The difference is often in the intention and execution behind the content. It comes from intentional execution: lighting, composition, clean audio, color, camera movement, pacing and editing working together to build trust, communicate clearly, create an emotional response or inspire action.”
“Effective production begins with where and how the audience views the content. A video for a website, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn or television may require a different approach. Planning for those platforms from the start allows one production to generate multiple assets, extend reach, strengthen brand recognition and deliver a better return on investment,” Wright concluded.
Wright then commented on how he feels that the changes in technology – from drones to AI and beyond – have affected video production. “We always strive to stay on the cusp of new technology and find it important to work with advancements in technology rather than against them. Drones can capture a sense of place through dynamic views of a property, business or event that once would have been difficult and expensive to achieve. AI can serve as a virtual assistant and creative sounding board by helping brainstorm ideas, organize information, accelerate tasks and reduce administrative work. Ultimately, our approach is to use AI and other emerging technologies to enhance the work we do, not to have the technology do the work for us. Efficiency should never come at the expense of quality or storytelling,” explained Wright.
As an associate with P&A, Wright sees new opportunities for Turning Tree Productions to continue creating meaningful commercial, event and story-driven content. “We have built a great deal of experience in helping businesses use video to grow their brands, connect with their audiences and gain recognition, and that is a part of the business that we genuinely enjoy,” he said. “I’d also like to expand our documentary work—digging deeper into subjects, spending time with the people involved and uncovering stories beneath the surface.”
Wright shared what drew him to P&A and its approach to client service by sharing that after moving to Woodland Park, it quickly became clear that P&A was the community’s go-to marketing firm. “The firm stood out for its experience, relationships and collaborative approach. Mike Perini connects the right professionals to serve each client’s goals and budget. That approach aligns with Turning Tree: clients get stronger results when each professional focuses on what they do best.”
“The partnership will let us contribute video and storytelling expertise alongside other professionals to give clients a more complete solution. Turning Tree adds visual storytelling to Perini & Associates’ strategic communications, PR and marketing services. Perini develops the message, audience and strategy; Turning Tree brings those stories to life through video,” said Wright. “Our shared commitment to local businesses, nonprofits and community organizations makes this a natural fit. I’m confident that Turning Tree’s production expertise can support P&A’s broader communications goals and help clients connect authentically with their audiences.”
