New York, NY, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CryptoBell.live today announced an in-depth interview with Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital and SALT, and author of the new book All the Wrong Moves, examining the economic and political decisions that Scaramucci believes have contributed to America’s growing debt burden, widening economic divide and affordability crisis.
In the interview with CryptoBell.live host Jake Novak, Scaramucci draws on nearly four decades on Wall Street, years spent around Washington and presidential politics, and his own experiences in business and government to offer a nonpartisan assessment of what he describes as three consequential policy mistakes.
“This is not a book about President Trump,” Scaramucci said. “It’s a precursor. This is what we did in our society.”
Scaramucci argues that three major policy decisions helped create what he calls an increasingly “K-shaped” economy—one in which some Americans are prospering while others face declining living standards and an affordability crisis.
Among the most consequential issues discussed is the national debt. Scaramucci warns that debt may appear manageable until the economic consequences become unavoidable.
He argues that continued debt monetization ultimately transfers the burden to Americans whose income and savings are denominated in dollars, particularly working- and middle-class households.
“If you don’t own assets and your job is denominated in U.S. dollars… they’re stealing your time and they’re stealing your work ethic and they’re stealing your money,” Scaramucci said.
The Three “Catastrophic Moves”
Scaramucci identifies three policy decisions as central to the economic problems facing the United States:
1. Going to war without a corresponding tax increase. Scaramucci points to the decision to enter the post-9/11 wars while simultaneously cutting taxes, suggesting that it helped accelerate the nation’s long-term deficit trajectory.
2. The treatment of banks during the financial crisis. He maintains that government intervention helped create the perception that financial institutions received preferential treatment while ordinary Americans were left behind, contributing to political anger and populism.
3. China’s entry into the World Trade Organization. Scaramucci says the United States and its allies failed to adequately adjust the rules as China rapidly expanded, creating significant economic consequences for American workers and industries.
Together, Scaramucci contends that these decisions helped fuel political polarization and what he describes as “anger-based populism” on both the left and the right.
Why Bitcoin Matters
A major portion of the CryptoBell.live interview focuses on Bitcoin and its potential role as a hedge against monetary debasement and an alternative store of value.
Scaramucci connects the emergence of Bitcoin directly to the lessons of the 2008 financial crisis and the subsequent expansion of government and Federal Reserve balance sheets.
He describes Bitcoin’s finite supply and decentralized architecture as fundamentally different from fiat currencies whose supply can be expanded.
He predicts that Bitcoin could potentially increase tenfold over the next 15 years as younger generations increasingly embrace it as a savings and store-of-value asset.
“Bitcoin’s gonna 10X from here over the next 15 years,” he said.
Scaramucci also believes Bitcoin’s importance may extend well beyond the United States, arguing that it could be even more significant in countries where governments have historically struggled to maintain stable currencies.
A Message for the Next Generation
Despite the serious economic warnings in All the Wrong Moves, Scaramucci says the book is ultimately intended as an argument for reform rather than a prediction of American decline.
Scaramucci believes the United States can still reverse course by restoring fiscal discipline and allowing economic growth to outpace the growth of government spending.
He rejects the idea that addressing the debt necessarily requires extreme austerity, instead advocating a return to fiscal guardrails similar to the “pay as you go” framework used in the 1990s.
His message is ultimately generational: fiscal discipline today, he argues, would mean a stronger economy and better quality of life for America’s children and grandchildren.
Looking Ahead
Scaramucci also warns against what he sees as another emerging mistake: America retreating from its historic role in global trade, alliances and economic integration.
He argues that the United States benefited enormously from its engagement with the global economy and cautions that reversing that approach could increase costs, uncertainty and national-security risks.
On Bitcoin’s long-term potential, Scaramucci remains bullish but measured. Rather than predicting extreme valuations, he sees a plausible path toward Bitcoin reaching a significant portion of gold’s market capitalization.
“I do see something that’s trading at $60,000 to $80,000 that could be worth $600,000 to $800,000,” he said.
For CryptoBell.live, the interview offers a rare opportunity to hear one of Wall Street’s most recognizable voices connect the past four decades of American economic policy with the rapidly changing landscape of digital assets.
