After years painting Matlock homes, Matt Woodhouse is helping local businesses look just as good online, starting with free website and Google check-ups.

Matlock painter and decorator Matt Woodhouse has picked up a new set of tools. Alongside his brushes and rollers, he’s now building websites and helping local businesses get found on Google with the launch of Web Design by Matt, based in Two Dales.
The idea started on the job. After struggling to get his own decorating business found online, Matt taught himself web design and local SEO, and soon had enquiries coming in through Google. Now he’s using the same approach to help other Matlock and Derbyshire Dales businesses do the same.
“Plenty of brilliant local businesses are almost invisible online, and that’s a shame,” said Matt. “A website is a bit like a shopfront. If it’s tired, hard to find or doesn’t open on a phone, customers walk straight past. I want to help local firms get found by the people already searching for them.”
